Rest Easy works in a supported mobile browser. You can also add it to your home screen where your device supports this. A home-screen app still needs an internet connection and a valid sign-in.

Android: open or install

  1. Open Chrome on your Android phone and visit www.resteasy.ie/app/.
  2. Sign in with your own account. Confirm the correct business or restroom.
  3. Open Chrome's ⋮ menu. Choose Install app or Add to Home screen if offered; the wording depends on your browser version.
  4. Follow the device prompt. Open the new Rest Easy icon and check that your account is shown.

iPhone: add to the home screen

  1. Open Safari and visit www.resteasy.ie/app/. Sign in.
  2. Open Safari's Share menu. Scroll through the actions and select Add to Home Screen where available.
  3. Confirm the name and select Add. On versions offering Open as Web App, leave it enabled for the app experience.
  4. Open Rest Easy from the home screen. Sign in again if the installed app asks you to.

Menu names and installation options vary by device and browser version. If the option is missing, open the address directly in Chrome or Safari rather than inside an email or social app. Your business administrator can help check device restrictions.

For current browser menu guidance, see Google's Android web-app instructions and Apple's iPhone home-screen instructions.

Scan and remain signed in

For a staff check, tap the supplied NFC sign with a compatible phone and open the link offered by the device. Android devices may have an NFC setting that must be switched on. iPhone support depends on the model and tag; try the top of the phone near the sign and follow its notification. For public feedback, open the phone camera, point it at the QR code and follow the displayed link.

A valid personal-phone session normally avoids repeated sign-in during routine checks. If your session expires, sign in again and return to the sign. Shared phones must identify the person doing the work using the agreed account or shared-staff process. Never save an administrator login on a shared cleaning phone.

Connection and notifications

Stay connected while recording checks or feedback. Rest Easy does not save checks offline for later upload. A loading screen is not a saved record: wait for Check recorded. If a submission is uncertain, keep the page open and ask a manager to check history before starting again.

Where available, use Enable notifications in the account menu and follow the device permission prompt. Support varies by browser and installation method. If notifications fail, use the in-app records and your site's safety procedure; do not wait for a phone alert before dealing with a hazard.
