Terms of Service
About these Terms
These Terms of Service govern the business use of rest easy. rest easy is operated under the registered business name RestEasy, registration no. 782525, by an individual business operator based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. In these Terms, “Customer” means the business or organisation subscribing to or using the service.
Business customers only
The service is intended for businesses, organisations and trade or professional users, not as a consumer subscription service. A person accepting these Terms for a Customer confirms that they have authority to bind that Customer. Anonymous visitors who submit public restroom feedback do not enter into a subscription contract under these Terms.
The service
rest easy is an operational restroom-management platform. A Critical Control Point (CCP) means a location, area, asset or operational checkpoint configured within rest easy for checks, monitoring, feedback or other supported operational functionality. Depending on the features available to a Customer account, the service may support staff check records, NFC-supported checkpoint interactions, QR public feedback, issue handling, notifications, dashboards, reports, exports and operational history. Features described as beta, pilot, preview, planned or coming soon are not contractual features until enabled for the Customer.
Operational and compliance responsibility
rest easy provides tools to support operational management, record keeping, checking, issue handling and audit evidence. It does not inspect or clean premises, remove hazards, replace staff supervision, determine appropriate check frequency, provide legal, health-and-safety or insurance advice, or guarantee legal, regulatory, insurance, accident or claim outcomes. The Customer remains responsible for its premises, safety, maintenance, staffing, procedures, appropriate check frequency, issue response and compliance with applicable law and policies.
Customer responsibilities
The Customer must provide accurate account information; configure its sites, restrooms and checkpoints appropriately; train authorised staff; maintain safe and clean premises; respond appropriately to hazards and feedback; manage and promptly remove user access where no longer required; protect credentials and devices; use the service lawfully; ensure it has appropriate authority and lawful basis for staff data; and provide suitable devices and connectivity where needed.
Accounts, users and acceptable use
Authorised users may have different account roles and access. The Customer is responsible for their use of the service. Users must not share or misuse credentials, bypass access controls, access another Customer’s data, interfere with security, upload malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities, manipulate checkpoints, abuse feedback or reporting, use the service unlawfully, resell or sublicense it without permission, or reverse engineer it except where law prevents that restriction.
NFC checkpoints and public feedback
NFC can support evidence that a user interacted with a configured checkpoint when recording a check. It is not continuous or GPS tracking and is not proof that an inspection was performed perfectly. The Customer must not intentionally relocate, clone, manipulate, bypass or misuse configured checkpoints. Public QR feedback may be submitted without an account; the Customer remains responsible for reviewing it and responding appropriately to hazards or issues. Privacy details are in our Privacy Policy.
Issues, notifications, reports and scores
Alerts and notifications may depend on configuration, connectivity and third-party services, and are not the sole means of identifying hazards. Customers must maintain their own operational processes. Reports, KPIs, health scores and benchmarking are management tools, not certifications, regulatory approvals, legal findings, insurance assessments or guarantees of safety or compliance.
Pricing and Starter Pack
The standard rest easy subscription is €29 per month and includes up to three CCPs. Additional capacity is charged at €5 per month for each additional block of up to three CCPs. The €49 Starter Pack is charged at signup. The first three subscription months are free from account activation, and normal recurring billing starts in month 4. The order summary and current published price shown before purchase determine the amount payable.
- 1–3 CCPs: €29/month
- 4–6 CCPs: €34/month
- 7–9 CCPs: €39/month
- 10–12 CCPs: €44/month
The Starter Pack may include setup materials such as signage, QR materials, NFC components or related items; its exact contents are confirmed with the order. Later CCP-capacity changes do not automatically incur another Starter Pack charge. Replacement, lost or damaged materials may be separately chargeable if supplied.
Orders, payment and recurring billing
Customers review an order before purchase. Payment may be processed by a third-party payment provider; a browser success page or redirect is not conclusive proof of payment, and paid service activation may depend on confirmed payment. A monthly subscription renews until cancelled. The Customer must maintain a valid payment method where required. Failed payment may lead to notice, retry, restriction or suspension, but does not itself immediately destroy operational history.
Capacity and price changes
Customers may increase or reduce CCP capacity where functionality is available; additional CCP capacity is charged in the stated blocks. rest easy may change pricing with reasonable advance notice. A new recurring price will not apply retrospectively, and an existing Customer may cancel before it takes effect.
Cancellation, data after cancellation and refunds
A Customer may cancel its monthly subscription. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and paid functionality normally remains available until then. Payments are generally non-refundable once the relevant billing period or order has commenced, except for a billing error, legal obligation or other expressly agreed circumstance. Cancellation does not necessarily trigger immediate deletion; information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Future account-lifecycle features become part of the service only when implemented and made available.
Availability and changes to the service
rest easy will use reasonable care and skill in providing the service, but does not promise uninterrupted, error-free availability or immediate correction of every issue. Availability may be affected by maintenance, outages, hosting, telecommunications, third-party services, security incidents or events outside reasonable control. rest easy may improve, modify, replace or update features for legitimate security, legal, performance, compatibility, usability or reliability reasons, and will not materially remove core paid functionality without reasonable justification or notice where practicable.

Third-party services, suspension and termination
rest easy relies on third-party services for elements such as hosting, email, security, analytics, push and payment. It may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary for serious breach, non-payment, fraud, security risk, unlawful use, interference or legal requirement, with notice where reasonable and immediate action for serious security or legal risk. Either party may terminate for material breach after a reasonable opportunity to remedy a remediable breach. Immediate termination may apply to serious fraud, deliberate security abuse, serious unlawful use or material legal or security risk.
Customer premises, warranties and liability
The Customer controls its premises. rest easy does not assume responsibility for cleanliness, hazards, maintenance, staffing, inspection quality, Customer actions or omissions, staff accuracy, or Customer regulatory or insurance compliance. Digital records may assist evidence but are not guaranteed to be accepted by a court, regulator or insurer or to determine a claim outcome.
Subject to applicable law, rest easy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or goodwill, or loss caused by inaccurate input, misuse, failure to maintain premises, poor credential security or third-party systems outside its reasonable control. rest easy’s aggregate liability arising from a claim is limited to the fees paid or payable by the affected Customer in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Events outside control, notices and changes
Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside its reasonable control, other than payment obligations already due. Routine notices may be given electronically, and the Customer must keep its contact details current. rest easy may update these Terms for reasonable reasons; material changes affecting paid Customers will receive reasonable notice where practicable and will not impose retroactive obligations without notice.
Assignment and general terms
The Customer may not transfer its subscription without consent. rest easy may transfer this agreement as part of a sale, restructuring or business transfer, provided Customer rights are not materially reduced. Nothing creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship. A waiver must be in writing, and an unenforceable provision does not affect the remaining Terms.
